With a brigade of chefs all hailing from South East Asia there is one thing you can guarantee at Chantek; authenticity. Chantek’s menu features dishes from Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, China, Vietnam and Laos.

Co-owner Ruth Philips enjoyed a unique upbringing in Asia where her father was a Cornishman. She brought the two influences together by opening Chantek in Truro. The vibrant restaurant takes meaning from the word ‘beautiful’ in Bahasa Malaysian and ‘serving’ in Thai.

The restaurant features an open kitchen and you can feel the heat of the pans at times in an experience that mixes food with theatre. Chantek has two floors that seat up to 120 people.
